Abrasador ham is unlike any other. It comes from pigs from the Del Campo a la Parrilla herd, pigs raised freely in the countryside. Cured in Guijuelo, the birthplace of the Iberian ham. Its delicate meat has a glossy appearance and is a color between pink and purple.
The knife-cut ham has fine veins of fat, giving it a beautiful appearance and providing great juiciness and a fine texture. The fat, one of the great secrets of Abrasador ham, is highly aromatic and so fluid that it melts in the mouth, flooding the palate with an incomparable flavor, full of nuances, intense, and long-lasting.
The fat in Abrasador Ham has a high percentage of monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid, similar to those found in olive oil, and therefore helps maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels. It is also rich in protein and contains vitamin B1, iron, zinc, and magnesium, making it a completely healthy food.
